FUNCTION

Magnetite anode beads (AB.SK.M) are used as part of electrochemical protection systems for main pipelines and steel structures operated in soils and water environments.

Anode beads are used to ensure long-term, uninterrupted and efficient flow of protective current from cathodic protection stations through the soil / water to the protected structure.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Long service life.

    Anode beads are equipped with a corrosion-resistant cable for use in CP (cathode protection) systems.

    Availability of several modifications of execution for use in various operating conditions.

    Reliable fastening and sealing of the point of contact between the current supply cable and the working electrode.

    Relatively low rate of anodic dissolution and, as a consequence, low weight of the working electrode.

    Magnetite anode beads (AB.SK.M) are produced in four modifications:
    – AB.SK.M-S – magnetite anode beads – surface;

    – AB.SK.M-SC – magnetite anode beads – surface complete;

    – AB.SK.M-D – magnetite anode beads – deep;

    – AB.SK.M-DC – magnetite anode beads – deep complete;

    Anode beads AB.SK.M meet general technical requirements OTT-29.100.99-KTN-163-12 rev.2 “Main pipeline transportation of oil and oil products. Electrochemical protection. Anode earthers” and included in “Register of the main types of products purchased by PJSC Transneft”

    AB.SK.M-SC (DC) is supplied as a set, in a protective casing filled with a mineral activator. The activator of the anode space significantly increases the contact, current-giving area of ​​the anode, which reduces the transition resistance “working electrode – ground” and the resistance to the spreading of the protective current. The use of an activator reduces the rate of anodic dissolution of the working electrode of the ground electrode system.
